A large quantity of cannabis was found by Gardaí in Co Cavan. Members of the Detective Branch attached to the Cavan District accompanied by uniformed members and members of the ASU searched a premises in the Ballyconnell area under warrant.
Following the search, a large number of mature cannabis plants were discovered. A male in his 20's was arrested at the scene and detained for questioning at Cavan Garda Station. He was subsequently charged with drug related offences and appeared in court.
