A local grandmother is calling for more safety measures for some children walking to school.
Carmel McCrudden is raising concerns about the lack of footpath on the R191 between St. Aidan's Comprehensive in Cootehill and Dronge.
Carmel is speaking up as her granddaughter, along with other children have to walk this road home from school, as they have working parents. She is highlighting what she describes as the urgent need for a footpath on the route due to the very fast traffic. Speaking to Northern Sound, Carmel outlined her granddaughter's journey to school.
