A local councillor has raised concerns over the opening hours of the Monaghan Minor Injuries Unit.
Speaking at yesterday's Monaghan County Council meeting, Cllr Sean Conlon said he would make it his mission to lobby for extended hours at every opportunity he had.
Cllr Conlon also made note of the recent warning issued by Cavan General Hospital last week, were patients were asked to see "alternative options" as opposed to Emergency Department referrals due to "high levels" of attendances and admissions.
