A local councillor has condemned an incident of illegal dumping and vandalism at Bragan Bog.
Cllr Pauric Clerkin said while out walking yesterday he was very disappointed to come across more illegal dumping at the Co Monaghan bog.
Along the Mass Rock Loop a number of household electric appliances were discarded. Cllr Clerkin says this beautiful area is being treated like a dumping ground and it's simply not acceptable.
He says he has reported the issue to the Environment Section of Monaghan County Council. The local Fine Gael councillor says the picnic area has also been vandalised once again.
Cllr Clerkin says Bragan Bog is a valuable local amenity and we all have a role in protecting it. He is calling on the public to report any dumping or vandalism, adding that it's simply not good enough.
