A local councillor has once again raised the issue of lime in the water at Kingscourt.
Cllr Clifford Kelly says the high lime in water is damaging home appliances like showers, washing machines and dishwashers.
Many families in the area are facing big costs, with appliances needing replacement after a short amount of time.

Cllr. Kelly said Uisce Eireann has said it is not responsible for lime filtration under its current remit.
Speaking to Northern Sound he said he is calling for grants for people replacing appliances due to this issue or fund Uisce Eireann for a filtration system.
