Local councillor welcomes Tidy Towns partnership with IPB Insurance

Cllr Pauric Clerkin described volunteers and local groups such as Tidy Towns as "central" to communities right across Co Monaghan.

A Co Monaghan councillor has welcomed the recently launched Community Insurance initiative which allows Local Authorities, including Monaghan County Council to obtain insurance for Tidy Towns through a partnership between IPB Insurance.
Cllr Pauric Clerkin described volunteers and local groups such as Tidy Towns as "central" to communities right across Co Monaghan.

He says through their work in keeping our towns clean, presentable, and attractive for residents and visitors alike, they crucially provide a pathway for people to give back to their community, providing support and meeting the needs of the area.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the Fine Gael representative says this innovative partnership will ensure that Tidy Towns have insurance to continue this vital work.
He added that this initiative will allow the local authority to offer insurance coverage to Tidy Town groups at no cost, thereby ensuring that this vital work can continue, bringing benefits to the community, and indeed to the entire county:
