A local farmer is angry with the treatment of protestors inside of the Bord Bia buildings.
Monaghan farmer Frank Brady is calling for a resolution to the situation to be reached.
A demonstration against the chairperson of Bord Bia, Larry Murrin will take place in Co. Cavan tonight.
The IFA is holding a public meeting to discuss the ongoing protest inside the Bord Bia buildings in the Cavan Crystal Hotel this evening.
The meeting is set to start at 8pm, with IFA President Francis Gorman in attendance.
Farmers from across the Ulster-North Leinster region are currently involved in the protest.
Richard Moran from Mountnugent is among the protestors in Bord Bia, as well as Patrick McCormack from Monaghan.
Speaking ahead of the protest, local farmer Frank Brady outlined how the "Bord Bia Five" have been treated.
Mr. Brady said: "We have five people inside Bord Bia. They have been treated badly all the way along. I had to point out to them, you have to have six hours of darkness for any chicken farm, and they were leaving the lights on all night.
"There was no food, the ventilation is up, the ventilation is down. These people have been in there 22 nights tonight, we need to get them out. I think the IFA made a very good proposal in the last couple of days, that we would look at talking and moving on if Larry steps aside. There doesn't seem to be an interest on the other side of facilitating that," he added.
