The Department of Housing figures don't include those who are sleeping rough, women in refuge centres, asylum seekers, refugees or the so-called 'hidden homeless'.
Nationally, there are now more than five thousand children registered as homeless for the first time.

16-thousand-58 people were living in emergency accommodation at the end of July - another record high.
It's up from June's figure of 15-thousand-933, an increase of 143 people.
