ESB Networks says its hopeful all power supplies to homes will be restored by this evening. 12,000 customers are currently still without electricity, following the damage caused by Storm Debi yesterday.
Extra crew are being brought in from the south east and Northern Ireland to help with the restoration efforts. Brian Tapley, Regional Manager with the ESB says Longford, Athlone and Cavan are the worst effected areas, but they're hopeful it won't be for long.
