Cavan-Monaghan TD Cathy Bennett has asked Taoiseach Micheál Martin to "intervene" and protect important services like SOSAD. SOSAD which operates across the North East including Cavan and Monaghan ceased its messaging service this week after the charity was left with "no other option" due to a lack of funding. Speaking in the Dail, Deputy Bennett said mental health and physical health are one of the strands considered in your well-being framework analysis. According to Deputy Bennett, in counties Cavan, Louth, Laois, Meath and Monaghan, the well-being of people and our communities will be "negatively impacted" by the recent down-grading of services of SOSAD Ireland. As a result, the Sinn Fein representative asked the Taoiseach to intervene to protect these vital services for our communities:
