Local TD describes CDNT waiting lists for region as 'disgrace'

Across the state 10,961 children remain on CDNT waiting list, with over 7,000 of waiting over a year for an initial CDNT contact.

CDNT waiting lists for Cavan-Monaghan have been described as a "disgrace" by a local TD.
According to Cathy Bennett, nearly 2,926 children in the North East and Dublin region remain on Children Disability Network Team (CDNT) waiting lists at the end of June.
The vast majority, over 2,054 of them have been waiting over a year for an initial CDNT contact.

Across the state 10,961 children remain on CDNT waiting list, with over 7,000 of waiting over a year for an initial CDNT contact.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Bennett said these children are being failed by the government.
She believes the CDNT model that is intended to provide family centred care is now synonymous with delays and abandonment:
