A local Fianna Fáil TD says she will continue to support school secretaries and caretakers as their strike continues.
A number of strikers gathered outside Cavan-Monaghan TD Niamh Smyth's office this morning.
An estimated 2,500 school secretaries and caretakers have been advocating for fair pay and parity in pension entitlements enjoyed by other school workers.
Discussions took place last Wednesday at the Workplace Relations Commission but trade union Fórsa claims it could not form the basis for negotiations.
