Local td welcomes increases in income threshold social housing

Ministers have signed off on plans to increase the income threshold facing social housing applicants by 5000 euro from January.

It's been over a decade since any changes have been made to the income eligibility thresholds.

TD Brendan Smith has welcomed the announcement saying it is a significant change which is being taken pending the development and roll-out of a revised income eligibility model and income thresholds in 2023.

Local TD for Cavan and Monaghan Brendan Smith says this is a great announcement for people in the area.
