The whole of Cootehill is behind a local teen who is part of a team vying for a place in the World Cup today.
That's according to a local club who are showing their support for Cootehill native Finn Sherlock, who is a part of the U17 Republic of Ireland side, which is continuing it's World Cup campaign later today.
The side is into the last 16 following a win against Canada on Friday afternoon.
In a post on social media last Friday, Cootehill Chamber Online said "Our whole town is bursting with pride watching one of our own shine on such a big stage.
From his early days playing with Cootehill Harps to scoring a fantastic goal today for Ireland, Finn continues to make us all proud. What an achievement for him, his family, and the entire community."
Cootehill Harps wished Finn and all the team the best of luck in today's match, saying "The whole of Cootehill, and Ireland is behind you"
Today's match kicks off at 2.45pm Irish time.
