As the lighter evenings come into effect Gardai are encouraging locals to "play their part" in making our roads safer. Garda Lisa Stevens of Bailieboro Garda Station says a greater stretch in the evenings sees the return of sporting events, training schedules and people getting out and more active through walking or cycling. With this being said, Garda Stevens is urging people to be mindful of the "increased movement" on local roads with more pedestrians, cyclists and traffic.
