A talented singer/songwriter from Mullinalaghta was crowned winner of the 'Wildcard Award' at this years 'Local Hero' showcase event.
The event which took place at The Academy in Dublin last night, showcased some of Ireland' finest musicians, including Laura Jo who represented the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
'Bright Eyes' by Laura Jo took home the special wildcard award which was decided by the public vote.

Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, the talented musician said she was "over the moon" and "still on cloud nine" following last night's final.
She added that her win was made even more special by knowing that it was down to the public vote.
