Hundreds of people are taking part in a search of the wider Mountnugent area this morning for a missing man that was last seen in Oldcastle yesterday.
Fields and roadways are being combed from Oldcastle to Ballyjamesduff for Mark Smith who was last seen yesterday morning at 9am.
Since first light, hundreds have to come together from Mountnugent GFC where the search has been organised from.
Locals are being asked to check their properties in an effort to locate the 44 year old.

Mark is described as being approximately 5 foot 7 inches in height, of slim build, is bald with blue eyes.
When last seen shortly before 9am this morning, Mark was wearing green running shorts, grey loose fitting T-shirt and blue runners.

Gardaí and Mark’s family are concerned for his well-being.
