A standoff in Belfast has ended, after a man was reported to be wielding a knife in the west of the city.
Police were called to the Fallswater Street area shortly before 7 o'clock yesterday evening, after a man had reportedly made off into the street following an altercation inside a home.
He was found inside a home in the Beechmount Street area, but a prolonged standoff and negotiation process followed.
A 22 year old man was arrested just after 9.30 last night, and remains in custody this morning.
