A man in his thirties has died following a road traffic collision in Cavan
It happened shortly before midnight, on the R194 at Finaway, between Ballyjamesduff and Killyfassy Cross, where a van left the road and struck a wall.
Units from Cavan and Baileboro Garda stations attended at the scene along with local Ambulance and Fire services. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Traffic diversions are in place on the R194 this morning to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators - and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
