A man aged in his 20s is recovering after sustaining a number of injuries during a suspected assault at a tyre fitting business in Monaghan over the weekend.
The Irish Independent are reporting that the incident occurred at a business near Emyvale on Saturday afternoon.
Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after the alarm was raised at around 4:30pm on foot of reports that a man in his 20s had been assaulted.
A garda spokesperson has since confirmed the alleged victim was treated for "non-life threatening" injuries. Gardaí confirmed they attended the scene following a report of an alleged incident of assault, at a premises in Aghadrumcru, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday last at approximately 4.30pm.
A male aged in his 20's received injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time. Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
