A man has been arrested following a major drug seizure in Monaghan Town.
Members of the Monaghan Divisional Drug Unit searched a house in the area on Sunday. €30,00o worth of Cannabis and €4,000 in Cash were discovered. Two bedrooms had been converted to accommodate 16 cannabis plants and 16 saplings. A vacuum bag of dried cannabis with a value of just over €6,000 was also seized.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the seizure and he has since been charged.
