A man is due in court this morning charged over a number of burglaries in the area.
Gardaí investigating a number of burglaries in the Cavan, Monaghan, Louth and Sligo areas arrested a man on Wednesday of this week.
Following a high-speed chase involving armed gardaí across Meath and Westmeath on Tuesday afternoon, the man was arrested.

The man, aged in his 30s, was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at a station in the Garda North Western Region.
He has since been charged to appear before Cavan District Court this morning. Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
