A 29-year-old man has been once again further remanded in jail in relation to a significant drug seizure in Co Monaghan.
Saulius Vertelis with an address at 117 Riverside, Coolshannagh, Monaghan Town appeared via video link this morning at Cavan District Court in relation to the alleged seizure of MDMA tablets with an estimated street value of €235,000.
It’s also alleged that Gardai discovered 50 grams of cannabis herb valued at €1,000 in a vehicle which Mr Vertelis admitted being the registered owner.
The non-national who has lived in Ireland since 2016 will now appear again at Monaghan District Court next month.
Judge Michael Connellan was told that DPP directions are still awaited in relation to this case.
Mr Vertelis will appear at Monaghan District Court on September 1st via video link from Cloverhill prison.
