A man is due in Court following a serious assault in Cavan town at the weekend.
Gardaí are investigating after an incident at a residential property in the town at around 2pm on Saturday.
A man in his 50s received facial injuries and was transferred to Cavan General Hospital for treatment.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s in relation to the assault and he's since been charged.
He is appearing before Carrickmacross District Court this morning.
