A man remains in custody this morning following a fatal collision in Co Monaghan.
The man aged in his 50 arrested remains detained in Garda custody under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardai say the N2 remains closed as forensic investigations continue at the scene and diversions remain in place.
The fatal collision involved a HGV and a car and occurred on the N2 at Mullaghnee, Annalitten, near Broomfield.
The driver of the car, a female in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the N2 between Castleblayney and Broomfield yesterday morning are being asked to contact Gardai.
