A man continues to be held in custody this morning following an incident in Carrickmacross yesterday. The incident saw a man brandishing a knife in the town.
Gardai reassured the public that they are aware of the incident which was widely circulated on social media. They have confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and is being held in Garda custody. Gardai say their investigations are continuing and he will be held for court.
