There were tears as an emotional Rory McIlroy made golfing history at the Masters. He won the Masters golf title for the first time making the Northern Irishman the only sixth player to win a career grand slam of all four major tournaments. He had already won the US Open, The Open and the US PGA by 2014.
Having missed out on an opportunity to win the famous green jacket in 2011, McIlroy says it is the greatest moment of his career. He won a playoff against Englishman Justin Rose after they both finished the final round in Augusta tied on 11 under par. In the ceremony to present him with his Green Jacket, he reflected on what the win will mean to his family.
