A West Cavan man has been remembering Storm Éowyn as we approach the first anniversary of the weather event.

Storm Éowyn made landfall on January 24th 2025 and was the one of the most powerful and widespread wind events to hit Ireland.

As the first anniversary approaches local people have been reflecting on the fallout of it, as well as the community spirit that was shown after and the lessons that can be learned for future events.
