MFCP attended 24 calls in Monaghan throughout December

Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection (MFCP) attended 24 emergency calls in December 2022. Calls included chimney and domestic fires, monitoring; and assisting the National Ambulance Service and An Garda Siochana.

MFCP says there was a marginal increase in chimney fires which was likely due to colder weather conditions at the end of last year. It added that this number remains low in comparison to other years.
