Gardai have begun a search of open ground in North Dublin in the case of a missing child who is feared dead.
The young boy, who would be 7, hasn’t been seen for several years.
Gardai say this case was referred to them last Friday by Tusla.
The boy who would now be 7 was last known to have lived at an the Gallery Apartments in Donabate but he hasn’t been seen for a number of years.
It’s believed he was just three years old when he was last seen.
Gardai say they have been unable to either locate the boy, any information on his current whereabouts or any evidence that he’s currently alive.
For that reason garda believe he is missing – presumed dead
Last evening they took control of an area of open ground in Donabate and that will be searched in the coming days.
Gardai say they are not in a position to identify the boy at this time.
No arrests have been made and gardai in Swords are investigating.
