A mobile unit to raise awareness for cancers effecting men and women will be in Co. Monaghan tomorrow.
Monaghan women's assembly have arranged for the Marie Keating foundation's mobile unit to come to Monaghan Town tomorrow from 11am until 11.30pm.
The unit is free of charge, and will be open for both men and women outside of the courthouse in the town.
The Marie Keating Foundation has three purpose-built mobile information units which travel around Ireland.
It aims to bring life-saving messages of prevention and early detection to as many people as possible.
Speaking to Northern Sound, local councillor Sinead Flynn highlighted the importance of getting checked for cancer.
She explained the benefits of an early health check:
Cllr. Flynn said: "The foundation focuses on raising awareness about all cancers that effect men and women in Ireland. Again, as I say, the mobile unit travels around towns and counties throughout Ireland.
"It will be stocked with various information leaflets, and packs on the various cancers. If anybody has a query or a question, they can pop into the mobile unit tomorrow," he added.
