The Monaghan Civil Defence Service is currently accommodating 40 refugees from the war in Ukraine.
The group arrived yesterday morning via Poland and consists of a number of families with young children and elderly persons.
Monaghan County Council is co-ordinating with the IPAS in relation to the long-term accommodation needs of the group.
