Monaghan County Council made 276 visits to their tenants between September last year and February. 20 of the visits were over unpaid rent.
32 visits were made to new tenants, 54 were to carry out welfare checks and 40 were about heating and maintenance. The Tenant Liaison Officer may visit the same property multiple times to resolve issues or because a property has multiple issues to be resolved.
As of December 31st, the Housing Section of Monaghan County Council is managing 1,979 tenanted properties, 62 of which are apartments or flats. 33 visits between September and February were conducted because of refuse at a property or because it was unkempt and 11 visits were down to unauthorised occupancy.
