Monaghan County Council will write to Uisce Eireann requesting they provide clarity to a recent response.
The motion was put forward at this month's sitting of Monaghan County Council meeting by Cllr Pauric Clerkin.
The response in question stated that Uisce Eireann had no remit to manage or maintain the treatment plants at Oisin Vale and Oisin Brian.

Uisce Eireann stated that it would not be in a position to accept this invitation at this time.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Clerkin said he believed this part of their response to be inaccurate.
As a result of this, Cllr Clerkin has requested that officials from Uisce Eireann attend the next Monaghan County Council meeting to explain their recent response to members:
