Aoife Lennon was driving when her car collided with a lorry on the N2 in Castleshane at around 2.45pm yesterday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed.
Aoife is from Derrynoose and the wife of a local Garda officer in the area.
Our Lady's & St Mochua's Primary School in Derrynoose said in a post online, Our Board of Governors, Principal and Staff deeply regret to learn of the untimely passing of Aoife Lennon, our esteemed former Ulster GAA coach.
We extend our condolences to Aoife's wife Karen, her mum & dad Seamus and Adele, her brothers Patrick & Sean and their families.
Meanwhile, Derrynoose GAC said online this evening, the members of Derrynoose GAC deeply regret the death of former player Aoife Lennon who has tragically passed away on Wednesday.
