Monaghan County Board Chairman, Declan Flanagan has spoken out against an incident that occurred during the meeting of Monaghan and Armagh in Croke Park on Saturday evening.
Seven people were arrested after an altercation broke out on Hill 16 during the quarter final meeting of the two sides. Speaking at the Club Championship draw live on Sportsbeat last night, Mr Flanagan noted that he "does not condone" such behaviour.
He added that the incident is currently being investigated at the highest level of the GAA. "It's very simple, we don't condone the likes of that behaviour at our games," explained Mr Flanagan. "The incident is being investigated by the officials of Croke Park and that is where it sits at the moment. The biggest part of the weekend was our game and I would like to talk about that and I would like others to talk about that as well."
