Gardai have renewed their appeal for information after a hit and run involving a prison van in Clontibret.
On Wednesday evening, the Irish Prison Services Van was rammed by a gold-coloured BMW X5 jeep while transporting a prisoner from Monaghan Circuit Court.
The jeep was found burnt out a short distance away and the suspects were seen leaving in a northern registered Audi A4.

Gardai are asking that anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the BMW or Audi in the area or in Monaghan town earlier that day to contact them.
