Monaghan is leading the way when it comes to renewable energy.
That's according to CEO of Castleblayney based energy company, Ohk Energy, Conor Foley.
A new traineeship in Renewable Construction Technologies is open for applications with the Cavan-Monaghan ETB.
Participants of this program will acquire a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Construction Technology and QQI Level 6 Award in Micro Solar Photovoltaic Systems Implementation.
They will also gain practical experience installing solar panels and get industry certificates such as their Safe Pass and Harness training.
CEO of Ohk Energy, Conor Foley says it's important to get more young people involved in trades.
