Monaghan Minor Injury Unit hour's looks set to be extended again from March of this year.
The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council has said that the Minor Injury Unit tacitly will open on 7 days a week.
Cllr Sean Conlon said the government has finally realised that the necessity has long since been there identifying the need for the minor injuries unit at Monaghan Hospital to be extended to seven day operation.

It's hopeful that that will be achieved by the end of March following a recruitment process,
The Monaghan Councillor has welcomed the news saying that the same treatment can be afforded Monaghan people as to the other parts of the country where minor injuries exist.
