A Co Monaghan man will attempt to make history today in Co Galway.
Paralympian, Shane McLoughlin is on a mission to take on his sixth Guinness World record when he pulls a 120 tonne ship later this morning.
The Clones native is setting his sights on achieving the extraordinary feat and is renowned for embarking on gruelling demonstrations of physical strength.
He has previously achieved five Guinness World records for truck pulling, now he will attempt to pull a ship that can hold up to 450 people.
The local man says he is confident that he can make history today and in doing so highlight that he can do anything that an abled bodied person can do.
