Monaghan ranked 4th in latest IBAL survey

Monaghan has been ranked as the fourth cleanest town in the country.

That's according to the latest IBAL survey, which put Monaghan in the Cleaner than European Norms category.

Cavan was ranked in the 19th spot, in the clean to European Norms category.

Nationally the cleanest town was named as Sligo.

It's the first time it's taken the top spot, ahead of Leixlip, Westport and Monaghan in 2025.
