The winning entry in the Entekra-sponsored Monaghan Anthem international song contest was revealed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan, on Sunday night.
Out of the entry of 47 songs, six finalists were chosen, three of which were from County Monaghan itself.
However, it was Cork native, Tim O'Riordan, who was crowned winner on the night with his original song, 'Let This Be The Day'.

The competition was launched by the 'Mad About Monaghan' business promotion group, with the aim of giving Monaghan its very own signature tune.
