Following the success of a social media venture, a Monaghan based woman has released a new cookbook.
Carrickmacross based Orla Drumgoole released The Irish Mammy Cooks, filled with recipes for baking and cooking.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Orla explained how she began posting pictures of her food alongside the recipe.
Since then she has been posting videos about her cooking across social media.
Orla believes that a generation of people may not have learned how to cook, but that is beginning to change.
Orla said: "Sometimes Paddy [Orla's husband] will say, 'I'd just love one of those Fit Food dinners'. I'd be there thinking, 'but I've made dinner!'.
"That's ok. There is a place for those. I think we were so busy doing for them. I used to peel the potatoes when I was nine, and I was horrified that my children as teenagers didn't know how to peel potatoes, but that was my fault.
"It's amazing the number of people who have bought this book for their sons, and the number of pictures I've had from people who took the book home, and their sons were saying, 'oh, I'm going to make that today'," Orla added.
