A Monaghan nursing home professional has been named as a finalist for the 2025 Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards.
Margaret McCabe, a supervisor healthcare assistant at Mullinahinch House Nursing Home in Mullinahinch, has been shortlisted in the General Award category for the prestigious awards.
The awards will take place on Thursday the 6th of November at the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin.
Margaret has been a valued member of the team since 2018. Her journey began uniquely as the nursing home hairdresser, where she discovered her true calling for caring and transitioned into healthcare.
Today, Margaret continues to share her talents in two meaningful ways: as the trusted hairdresser bringing joy and dignity to residents through her skill, and as a Supervisor Healthcare Assistant providing leadership, support and exceptional care to residents and colleagues. Her commitment, warmth and ability to connect with people in different roles makes her an outstanding nominee in these prestigious awards.
