Monaghan's Arts Officer to meet with local drama group after unsuccessful funding application

Monaghan's Arts Officer is set to meet with the Clones Drama Group after it was unsuccessful in a recent funding application.

Seven Monaghan arts groups recently benefited from funding of up to €22,000 under the Arts Partnership Grant.

The funding is provided to groups, venues, and festivals deemed to be of strategic importance within Monaghan.

There were eight applicants, but the Clones Drama Group's application was deemed "ineligible".

Pat Treanor asked if the county's Art Officer, Somhairle Mac Conghail, could meet with the group "to brief them on where they fell short" and to pinpoint other funding streams.
