A motorist who was "driving erratically" in Co Cavan has been arrested and charged with drink driving.
On Saturday night, gardaí were on patrol in Kingscourt when they encountered the vehicle being driven in what's been described as an "erratic" manner.
The vehicle failed to stop and continued driving dangerously until it eventually came to a halt.

There were six occupants in the car and the driver was arrested and later charged with drunk driving and will be appearing in Court.
The car was also detained as the driver was a learner permit holder and was driving without being accompanied by a full licence holder.
Gardaí have used the incident to remind the public to never drink and drive.
