Gardai in Monaghan have confirmed this morning that the N2 between Monaghan and Emyvale will remain closed for the rest of today. It follows a serious road traffic collision yesterday evening.
A technical examination of the scene will take place today. Diversions are in place and motorists are being advised to take alternative routes.
Traffic is reported to be heavy in the area this morning.
