A man remains in custody following a fatal collision in Co Monaghan.
The man aged in his 50 arrested remains detained in Garda custody under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardai say the N2 remains closed as forensic investigations continue at the scene and diversions remain in place.
The N2 will remain closed until 9pm tonight. Tributes have been paid to a Co Monaghan mother-of-two who died following at fatal road traffic collision on the N2 yesterday.
Emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a HGV and a car on the N2 at Castleblayney at approximately 8am yesterday morning.
Emma Mackeral from Clones died at the scene.
Paying tribute to the young mother of two, Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones MD Sinead Flynn said the community is "absolutely devastated."
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
