TFI Local Link Cavan Monaghan has introduced a new bus route connecting Kells and Cootehill.
This new route which begins today is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.
Route 178 will replace Bus Éireann Route 108 and will operate three daily return services between Kells and Bailieboro with two services extending to Cootehill via Canningstown Monday to Sunday.
The new route will provide morning services for commuters and connectivity to regional bus services and the villages and areas of Mullaghey, Carlanstown, Moynalty, Mullagh, Relabeg, Bailieboro and Canningstown.
