New camogie cup named in Ashling Murphy's honour

The Camogie Association hopes the renaming of this competition can be a celebration of Ashling’s life.

The Camogie Association has announced that it has named a cup in honour of Ashling Murphy.

The 23-year-old was killed while jogging along the Grand Canal in Offaly last year.

She played camogie for her local club Kilcormac/Killoughey, as well as Mary Immaculate College in Limerick.
